A Letter from The Director

You have seen the pictures and heard stories of kids who have illegally crossed the border.

Desperate refugees turn up at the U.S. border. Period.

There is a deluge of images with unaccompanied minors and overcrowded facilities at our southern border.

Central American families are so desperate to escape their own countries that they will risk everything (including separating their family).

What is the why?

Are these migrants fleeing some Act of God alone?

Has drought or hurricanes that should have been anticipated and prevented driven this exodus?

Possibly, are they fleeing cartel violence and governmental corruption?

Is it result of our offloaded costs of the drug war on Latin America?

Observe the alarming number of detained unaccompanied migrant children that have tested positive for COVID-19.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement have sent an urgent email to senior staff asking for volunteers to deploy to border stations and tent sites where holding cells are crammed beyond capacity.

(as reported by Nick Miroff of The Washington Post on March 12, 2021)

We know that all 10-year-olds want the same things: to feel safe, to play, to learn and to be joyous. But for millions of children growing up at ALL borders, these simple joys have been stolen by decades of war.

This is a war on children.

The fire has spread to gates of our land. These children are inside a burning building of adult construction and neglect.

“I want you to help me get these children out of that burning building.”

Our Vision Statement

There is an invisible war on children, which is a war on the future of humanity. Through abuse and neglect, humanity has trapped its own children inside of a burning building. We are here to get these children out of that building.

On mothers day weekend, we come together to take these children out of harms way of refugee incarceration and place them in a safe beloved community.
